Very poor | I came at the Doncaster Road Surgery on 28/12/2026 for helicobacter pylori breath test. I was not informed before the test (when appointment was booked by the Health Practitioner) that there would be a charge. On arrival at the surgery when I informed the receptionist I am here for the test I was not informed of the charge. I had to wait for 45 min for the appointment and when I met the health worker he informed me there will be a charge which came as a surprise. He said if you don’t want to continue we can cancel the appointment which felt very rude. I do feel if I was informed I could have made relevant adjustments for the payment. This also means I could have got the test done earlier at any chemist and not necessarily wait for GP surgery to make an appointment. | Receptionist/ Health Practitioner/ GP/ Nurse who ever books an appointment they need to inform patients of any charges that will need to be payed to continue with medication/appointment. | January 5, 2026 at 11:12 am |
