Very poor | I asked for my prescription to be sorted out on Friday and the receptionist said she has left an urgent task for the pharmacist to review on Monday. I did not receive a call from the pharmacist today so called the GP surgery back to chase and the receptionist was not aware of this request as it was not documented in my records so nothing was passed on. I made it very clear that I was running out of my medication and only had up to Mondays dose, and still it was not dealt with priority or any urgency. On Monday I had a telephone appointment with the GP to discuss my medication which was sent to pharmacy but I had needed to change the name of the medication that was available in the pharmacy. I called back at 4:30 to change this and the receptionist said she left the GP a message in the inbox so when she sees it, it will be done. I emphasised again that I had no more patches to use and this was urgent because someone was going to collect my medication for me but she did not show any urgency to chase this up and told me it will be done today by the doctor when they see it. I am now left without my medication because no one had changed my prescription and I’ve tracked this via the App. | Listen to the patient and the urgency behind our messages, stop pushing our message to wait till the end of the day and be left with no one to help. | August 24, 2026 at 6:38 pm |
